I love any reason to celebrate and a holiday like Valentine’s Day is as good a reason as any to plan something special. We typically have a low-key V-Day: usually we go out and try a new restaurant but this year we will be sticking closer to home. Likely we will make a fancy cocktail, cook a nice dinner (or possibly order in a pizza) and cue up a movie or show on our watch-list for a cozy night at home (one year into social distancing and this still hasn’t gotten old to me).
I thought it would be fun to share a pretty pink cocktail with you all in case you’re looking for something new to try! This one is a Citrus Gin Sour and it really hit the spot for me.
Ingredients:
- 2 oz of gin
- .50 oz grapefruit juice
- .25 oz lemon juice
- .50 oz simple syrup
- one egg white
- 3 dashes of angostura bitters
Instructions:
- Add all ingredients into a shaker.
- Shake for 15 seconds.
- Add ice into the shaker and shake until completely chilled.
- Strain into a glass with ice and garnish with a slice of grapefruit or grapefruit peel.
- Cheers!
Let me know if you make it and if you love it!
