Truth be told, I’ve written many mini Silk & Snow reviews over the last year. But this is the very first time I’m doing a deep dive on their top-selling Canadian bedding sets.
Sure, I’ve tested their non-toxic bath towels, slept on their natural memory foam pillow, and even named the Silk & Snow Latex Mattress Topper the best non-toxic mattress topper in Canada. However, this Canadian-sourced bedding brand is best known for two things: luxurious non-toxic mattresses and, of course, their Percale Cotton, Flax Linen, and Egyptian Cotton sheets.
In this full Silk & Snow sheets review, I’ll share my experience with the quality materials, comfort, and sleep quality they offer. After all, on average, we spend about one-third of our lives sleeping. That means if you live to be 90 years old, you’ll have spent roughly 30 years asleep! So it better be top-notch.

My Honest Silk & Snow Bedding Review
Let’s preface this by saying that I’m a linen girl through and through. Give me rumpled texture, breathable weave, and a naturally lived-in vibe, and I’m happy. My partner, however? Not so much. According to him, linen is “scratchy.” (He’s wrong, but in the name of love and compromise, I took one for the team.)
I’m also what you’d call a walking contradiction when it comes to sleep. I keep my house toasty during the day, but when it’s bedtime? The AC blasts, and the room dips to a chill 18-20 degrees. Even then, there’s still a decent chance I’ll wake up sweating. I’m that kind of hot sleeper.
On top of that, I’m ultra-picky about weight. I want to feel cozy, but not crushed. I want warmth, but not suffocation. So, as you can probably tell, Silk & Snow (and all other Canadian bedding companies) need to overperform to tick all my boxes. I gave most of their bedding sets and the Silk & Snow Duvet a try!
Let’s kick off this Silk & Snow review by sharing some info about the company itself.
About the Canadian Bedding Company Meet Silk & Snow
Silk & Snow started in 2017 based out of Toronto, Ontario. The company was born from a simple but powerful dream by two friends, Albert and Kenneth. Their goal? To create home essentials that don’t just feel good, but do good. Think cozy meets conscious. Their philosophy is clear: home should be a haven, and every product in it should reflect love, intention, and sustainability.
As someone who’s knee-deep in learning about the world of non-toxic living, I immediately appreciated their three big promises:
- Better Materials – They’re picky in the best way possible. From luxe European flax linen to 100% certified long-staple Egyptian Cotton sateen sheets, they source high-quality materials with fewer question marks and more peace of mind. No mystery fabrics or greenwashed buzzwords here.
- Conscious Manufacturing – Instead of mass-producing fluff that ends up in landfills, they work with skilled craftspeople who care about quality and durability. The result? Thoughtfully made Canadian bedding that actually lasts.
- Transparency & Giving Back – This isn’t a company hiding behind fancy branding. They openly share where their materials come from, how things are made, and who’s doing the making. Plus, they’re big on giving back through donation and recycling programs, and partnerships like the one with Veritree to plant trees and reforest over 600,000 square meters of land (yes, I gasped too).
They’re not perfect, but they’re making moves that matter. Over 122,000 trees planted and over 111,000 tonnes of CO₂ sequestered isn’t just a drop in the ocean. And in a world where “eco” is often just a marketing label, Silk & Snow walks the walk. That’s not something we see often from Canadian bedding brands.
I’ll admit, I went into this review curious but cautiously optimistic. Could a bedding brand really live up to all this? Keep reading, and I’ll share my honest Silk & Snow review.

Silk & Snow’s Percale Sheets Review
These beauties are sustainably made in Portugal in small batches. They’re crafted from percale-woven cotton and dyed with organic pigments, which gives them a serious edge in the non-toxic department. Something I deeply value as someone constantly side-eyeing the ingredients in everything from toothpaste to textiles.
We went with the “Sage” colour, one of seven thoughtfully curated shades, and I love that it complements our neutral bedroom aesthetic. It’s calm and grounding and doesn’t scream for attention, which is exactly what I want from my sheets, nor my sleep environment.
The set includes everything you need to fully sheet up: a flat sheet, a fitted sheet, and two pillowcases. There’s also a bundle option if you want to add a duvet cover.
Texture
Now, let’s talk texture. I was a little hesitant. “Crisp and cool” is a phrase that strikes fear in the heart of this perpetually chilly-at-bedtime human. I braced myself for a week of freezing toes. But plot twist, they’re not cold at all. They’re crisp, yes, but in that hotel-luxury, fresh-laundered way. Smooth, breathable, and somehow both structured and cozy. I don’t know what kind of magic the Portuguese mill is working with, but I’m here for it.
Comfort
What really sold me, though, was how my sleep changed. I’ve been sleeping through the night, which is wild for me. Usually, I wake up multiple times, tossing, turning, and wondering what year it is. Lately? I’ve been snoozing until the alarm goes off. Coincidence? Maybe. But I’m willing to give the Silk & Snow percale set some serious credit.
All in all, if you’re looking for a non-toxic, well-made bedding option that feels ultra luxe, this might be your move. Even my linen-loving heart has softened—pun very much intended.

Silk & Snow Flax Linen Bedding Set Review
By now, you probably already know how obsessed I am with anything linen. Does it make me a bit biased? Maybe, but what can I say? I have tried products from many Canadian bedding brands and fashion companies. This natural material delivers every time, whether it’s a flowy dress or a Canadian bedding set. The sheets are made in Portugal with 100% European flax, and you can really feel the quality. They’re soft, but substantial, and apparently get better with every wash. I especially loved pairing them with our lightweight duvet, which created a kind of yin-yang bedding situation: texture from the linen, softness from the duvet.
Material Quality & Texture
These sheets tick all the right boxes: STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX® certified, so no sketchy chemicals or synthetics, and European Flax® certified, which means the flax is sustainably grown in France and Belgium without GMO seeds or wasteful irrigation. There’s also an incredible level of transparency in their supply chain—from thread spinning to dyeing to cutting and sewing—all done by family-run operations in Portugal with a long history in textiles.
Unlike silky sheets that hug the skin, linen sits lightly on your body, with a slightly airy drape that doesn’t cling. It’s got this breezy, breathable quality that makes it a dream (pun intended) for hot sleepers or those who can’t stand to feel overheated at night. And the best part is that they get softer over time. Like, noticeably. Wash after wash, they mellow out and lose that crisp edge, turning into something much cozier.
Comfort
Comfort-wise, linen has always been my favourite. The sheets have a lived-in, breezy feel that’s both breathable and surprisingly cozy. They start off with a bit of texture—kind of nubby, kind of crisp—but soften beautifully with every wash. It’s like sleeping in your favourite well-worn shirt: relaxed, airy, and effortlessly comfortable.
If you’re a fan of that relaxed, lived-in feel linen lovers rave about, or you’re just trying to settle a household bedding debate, this set is worth a shot. In my Silk & Snow review, this set got 5-stars!

Silk & Snow Egyptian Cotton Sheets Review
If percale is your crisp white button-down, then Egyptian cotton sateen is the silky wrap dress that makes you feel fancy even when you’re half-asleep. I don’t usually go for glossy finishes in my bedding, but I gave Silk & Snow’s Egyptian Cotton Sheets a whirl—and wow, they’re smooth. We’re talking “slip into bed and forget your problems” kind of smooth.
Material Quality & Texture
These sheets are made in Portugal with 100% certified long-staple Egyptian cotton (yes, the real stuff), and they come with that subtle sheen that makes your bed look hotel-level fresh even when you’re the one making it. The fabric feels dense and durable, yet it’s super soft from the start—none of that scratchy break-in phase required. Plus, they breathe surprisingly well for sateen, which is usually heavier and warmer.
I also love the brand’s commitment to traceability. The cotton is sourced directly from Egypt and certified by the Cotton Egypt Association, so no mystery blends or greenwashing here. And as someone who obsesses over what’s touching my skin all night, I appreciate the OEKO-TEX certification and clean dyeing process.
Do they wrinkle more than other sets? Sure. But unless you’re a sheet-ironer (bless you if you are), a few creases are worth the comfort. These sheets feel indulgent in the best way—like slipping into a well-made bed at a boutique hotel, only it’s your bedroom and your dog is probably already hogging your pillow.
Comfort
As hundreds of people have pointed out before me in their Silk & Snow reviews on the website, they are as comfortable as they can get. Smooth to the touch, but never sticky or heavy. The long-staple fibers give them an impressive softness that only gets better with time, while the sateen weave adds a gentle sheen and buttery finish. It’s the kind of comfort that makes you hit snooze (twice), just to soak in the feeling a little longer.

Silk & Snow Lightweight Duvet Review
Right after the Silk & Snow Egyptian cotton sheets, the company’s duvets are the most popular option. I’ve read dozens of glowing Silk & Snow reviews about their texture and quality, so I had to give them a try. This duvet promised a lot, and honestly? It delivered on most fronts.
Material Quality & Texture
It’s filled with traceable, ethically-sourced Canadian Hutterite duck down, and wrapped in a 100% cotton shell that feels breathable and soft to the touch. The fill power clocks in at 700, which means it’s light but still plush. Think “sleeping inside a cloud,” not “buried under a sandbag.” Bonus: it’s Downmark® certified, meaning it’s the real deal, not mystery fluff.
And of course, the duvet is OEKO-TEX® certified, which is a must for anyone (like me) who avoids harsh chemicals in their home like the plague. Knowing I’m not inhaling hidden toxins while I sleep is a baseline requirement, not a luxury.
At just 18 ounces (compared to the 24-ounce all-season version), this one’s designed with hot sleepers like me in mind. And while no bedding on Earth can completely solve my middle-of-the-night sweat sessions (seriously, unless someone invents an ice-blasting ceiling fan, I’m doomed), this duvet came impressively close. I didn’t wake up drenched, and that’s a rare win in my book.
Comfort
No, it didn’t completely “fix” my hot-sleeper situation. But nothing ever has. What it did do is offer me one of the most luxurious, well-balanced sleep experiences I’ve had in a long time. It’s breathable without being flimsy, light without feeling cheap, and cozy without overheating me into a rage at 2 a.m.
If you’re looking for a high-quality, Canadian-made duvet that doesn’t skimp on comfort or conscience, this one’s worth every penny. Just maybe pair it with a fan if you’re like me.
