One of my favourite weekend getaways is to Calgary. In Calgary I’ve found there is an incredible selection of home décor stores with a range of prices, designs, and styles to fit your needs. Whether you’re searching for a popular retailer or love to hit up local vintage shops for little treasures, Calgary has something for everyone. Vintage Furniture Calgary & Furniture Second Hand Calgary
My trick with sourcing second hand or vintage pieces is to have an idea of what I am looking for and to continually be checking in with retailers to see if something they carry fits my vision. When researching this portion of my “complete” list, it quickly ballooned as there were so many options to investigate and explore. Large showroom furniture retailers are convenient spaces to browse as all the different vignettes allow for quick comparison of the pieces. However, I find the spaces can feel a bit overwhelming if they lack focus. The two retailers I chose to feature on this list have distinct identities and help me achieve my main goal of curating a specific space for myself. Country Living Furnishings specializes in contemporary Canadian-made designs. They pride themselves on their fresh, contemporary, and simple design styles.
National Furniture Retailers with Locations in Calgary
Of course, there are several large, national furniture retailers located in Calgary that are great to check out! Mainstay showrooms like The Brick and Leon’s provide customers with a variety of styles and price points to suit their needs. Crate and Barrel and West Elm continue to be favourite spots for me to browse as their options are contemporary and stylish. Below are some other (perhaps lesser-known) favourites of mine.

Sunday’s company began with four friends meeting every Sunday morning to create a furniture company that not only high quality, but also attainably prices. I love how fresh and clean their designs are. The smallest (by far) on this portion of the list, they have locations in Vancouver, Toronto, Seattle, and (you guessed it!) Calgary. They offer free delivery and free assembly on large items.
