I love an old school blog post with a roundup of images for inspiration. So I thought, why not put together my own holiday decor inspo post and share to the blog!
When it comes to holiday decor, I’m drawn most to a minimal and Scandinavian look paired with gold, black, and rich hues (think: forest greens accents, velvet yellow ribbons, rose pink tree ornaments). In my opinion, the earthier the better and elegance trumps cheesy decor every time. When it comes to a table-cape, I’m looking for linen tablecloth or napkins, lots of candles, beautiful glassware and serve-ware. I like for the collected, functional pieces to be the stars of the show rather than having too many gimmicks. Pieces that you can use all winter long and not just during the holiday season. I also always love greenery or an arrangement of in-season blooms on the table for an added intentional touch.
My home philosophy is always collected and curated over convenient or cheap when it comes to decor. I went into a lot of detail in this post about my approach to holiday decorating so I’m not going to repeat that all here but just wanted to give some context to why I chose the images you’ll see below.
And if you want to follow along with me over on Pinterest or see any sources for these images, they’re all pinned to my board titled “The Holidays”.
