Galentine’s Day Idea
The month of February is overflowing with love and you don’t have to limit the celebrating to your romantic relationship. This year, one of my goals is to be more intentional at cultivating the female friendships in my life. So I’ve been looking at the calendar a bit differently, considering the themed girl’s nights that could be planned.
That’s when this idea for galentine’s day was born! As a major homebody, I’ll always choose a night at home vs a night out on the town if given the option. So I decided to plan a cozy night in with some fun themed touches, snacks, and decor!

Galentine’s Day Decor Details
You don’t have to go overboard to make the decor look cute (unless you want to!). A handful of thoughtful touches go a long way at making something feel intentional and curated.
For the galentine’s decor, I went with a pink theme. I grabbed a few bunches of pink flowers from the grocery store, pink ribbon and a felt heart garland, and used an old letter-board I had sitting around to make a themed drink sign.
For serving snacks and drinks, I used my well-loved Fable dishware and Fable glassware. A crystal ice bucket I thrifted last summer and a heart-shaped wooden bowl were the final little touches. I like to lean into decor pieces that are both beautiful AND functional as I find this to be the best way to cultivate a home decor collection that I love and use again and again.

Galentine’s Day Menu
For snacks and drinks, I kept it incredibly simple. You want to have something savoury and something sweet, at a minimum. I went with popcorn (because it was a movie night), home-made pop-tarts (recipe below), sour candies, and Hershey kisses. I also had a mix of pink-canned drinks (AHA, Bubbly, mocktails, rosé).

An Easy Valentine’s Day Dessert Recipe
If you’re looking for an easy to make and delicious recipe to make, consider these home-made pop-tarts!

Ingredients:
1 package rolled pie crust (I used a 2-ct pack)
1 egg
1 cup jam or nutella
Icing
1 cup icing sugar
2 tbsp milk
2 tbsp of jam or nutella (or other filling of choice)
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
How To Make:
- Preheat oven to 400 F° and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Unroll crust onto sheet of parchment paper and use a cookie cutter to cut out as many shapes as you can (I used a heart-shaped one but you could also do rectangle).
- Knead together remaining crust and roll out another piece, to cut remaining shapes (aim for same thinness when rolling out).
- Beat the egg in a small bowl for an egg wash.
- Lay out hearts on the prepared baking sheet and scoop 1 tbsp of jam or nutella onto the center.
- Brush the edges, around the dollop of filling, with egg wash.
- Place second heart overtop and pinch all around the edges to seal, then use a fork to crimp the edges.
- Poke a couple of holes in the center with the fork.
- Brush the top and edges with more egg wash.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Once completely cooled, whisk together all icing ingredients and spread over each poptart.
