I love the changing of the seasons in the home decor world. Rather than bringing in a bunch of knick knacks, I like to curate my decor seasonally by swapping out textiles like pillow covers, throw blankets and bedding. For fall home decor, I like incorporating materials, scents, and colours that are better suited for the colder months. Dark wood accents, earth tones, seasonal stems, spiced candles and oils.
If you’re looking for inspiration around decorating for fall, look outdoors at the colours, scents, and textures of the season. I truly believe that nature is the best guide when it comes to decor. You never look at nature and think “do those colours work together?”, you know it works because of the emotional reaction it evokes. Beauty in the truest sense of the word.
