’Tis the season! The holiday season is always one of my favourites but this year, I’m feeling especially ready for it! Maybe it’s because of all that we’ve walked through the last year (and beyond!) but I am definitely ready for some cheer.
I thought it might be helpful if I walked you through what to expect here at Fleurish Collective throughout the Holiday season, so you’re best able to utilize the content you’ll find here in the coming weeks. When I say that the content calendar is full, I really mean that. You’ll see 4-6 posts here each week all the way until Christmas. It’s going to be a mix of holiday inspiration, gift guides, recipes/meal planning, mental wellness this time of year, holiday home decor ideas, hosting/entertaining inspiration, and more.
Every Friday, I will be sharing a “Weekly Roundup” post on the blog that will walk you through and link to everything I shared on the blog as well as anything extra I shared over on Instagram that stood out. Those who subscribe to my newsletter will receive a shortened version of the Weekly Roundup to their email, that way they have easy access to any of the content they may have missed throughout the week. If you’d like to sign up and receive those roundups to your inbox, you can subscribe here.
A Note on My Approach to Content During the Holiday Season
If I’m being honest, I’m already starting to feel a bit oversaturated with holiday content/decor from the consumer side. It felt a bit like my Instagram and social media feeds exploded with it as soon as the calendar turned to November 1st this year. So my goal on the blog for the holiday season is for it to feel like a breath of fresh air amidst all that. I hope that my content does not add to the noise for you; rather, I’d love for it to feel grounding. I want you to come away from consuming any of my content feeling like it was purposeful, useful and gave you ideas of how to better appreciate the season and navigate it from a place of health and wellness. I know that this time of year is often a lot of different things – it can be heavy and overwhelming as well as beautiful and magical. So I want my content to reflect both sides of that. Of course, there will be the usual gift guides, etc. but the hope with those is that they are a resource to you if you feel that is helpful, rather than another content creator telling you that you need more. I will also be sharing a number of small, Canadian shops this season and would encourage you to support them if you find something on your list.
To be honest, I toyed with the idea of not doing gift guides this year as they are so much work (like, hours upon hours) and it seems like every content creator is all over them this year. But there were a lot of requests that I put them together, so in the end I decided to do it. That being said, I want to say up front that I really appreciate you shopping purposefully through my links if you find them to be helpful. And for engaging with any of my content (pinning it, sharing it to your own social media, commenting – that all goes a long way!).
A Little Information on Holiday Shopping Through My Links
Many of the links that I share on my website are connected to an affiliate program, which means that I get a tiny commission for any purchases you make when you go through my links. It does not change the cost whatsoever on your end, but the brand gives me a small commission for sharing them when purchases are made. If you want to make sure that I receive credit for a purchase, I thought I’d quickly share how it works. You must click on the item I’ve shared and buy it in that browser window. If you swipe up, screenshot an image and then google it to purchase at a later date, I don’t receive the credit for that. And as an aside, it doesn’t matter if you buy the exact item I recommended. If you find a different item while browsing after accessing the store through my link, I will still get credit for that. Just know, that any purchases made through my links is so appreciated and I’m grateful for your support – truly.
Okay, my friends! Let’s dive into this holiday season together!
