A Note From The Editor
Can you even believe it’s now March?! I swear the calendar just flipped to January 1st so I’m not sure how we got here so quick. I’ve been so grateful for the longer days, the sunshine and am ready for the temps to start to warm up a bit!
We did a little getaway to Calgary in February and it was so nice to have something on the calendar to look forward to. I’m going to do a full blog post on Calgary including my recommendations if you happen to be nearby or are planning a trip any time in the future!
I feel like a broken record in saying that things continue to feel heavy in the world. There’s so much hurt and conflict and tension, literally worldwide, and it can feel overwhelming and disorienting when your news feeds and social medias are saturated with heavy news next to pretty moments. I came across two different posts last week that really resonated with me and I wanted to share them here.
This first post speaks to the situation in Ukraine, ways to help and the last slide in the carousel speaks to the impact of caring and also the importance of doing something. We can’t be involved in every cause, issue, and need but we can be involved in something and the impact of that is greater than we sometimes think. Focus on doing good, giving back, standing up for those causes you feel especially drawn to and recognize that something is always better than nothing.
This second post I saved really accurately described how I’ve been feeling as of late. Know that however you’re feeling, it’s all valid. Sometimes having really opposite thoughts/feelings can feel confusing but it’s perfectly normal to feel lots of things all at once.
Take care of yourselves, friends!

Read + Listen + Watch + Make
+ A list of seven ways to help the people of Ukraine right now.
+ Two books from February that I read and loved: The Paper Palace (fiction) and The Wisdom of Your Body (nonfiction).
+ The Happy Place podcast – I’ve loved every single episode I’ve listened to so far!
+ American Idol just started back up this week! Not ashamed to admit that we are major fans. There’s just something about watching someone put themselves out there and realize that they’ve had something great inside of them all along. I tear up basically every episode.

Look + Shop
+ I’m obsessed with this rattan chandelier and am thinking I might order one for my home office.
+ This hair oil is a must-have product!
+ I just ordered this tank top as I’m wanting to refresh some of my neutral basics as we move into Spring.
+ For cute tissue box storage – I need!
+ I’m 100% obsessed with this checkered linen tablecloth. Perfect for a spring/summer tablescape.
+ And might as well pair that tablecloth with these beautiful candle holders!
+ Keeping with the checkered theme, these retro hand towels would be stunning in a bathroom.
+ The perfect oversized white collared shirt (a staple in every closet!). I have and love.
