The holiday season is upon us! I’m feeling excited about the good vibes that come along with this time of the year. I’m hard at work putting together the holiday shop for you all – it will be full of gift guides: for her, for him, for the homebody, for self-care, for stocking stuffers and maybe a few more to come! I decided to make these guides evergreen so I could keep adding to them throughout the holiday season as things catch my eye. Christmas shopping this year will look a bit different in that we need to be a bit more on top of our game as most will be ordering online – would it be strange to leave a thank you gift for the mailman? They’re going to be BUSY this year.
November is my birthday month (it was on the 1st!) and this year was even more special because I turned 30. It was the most special weekend – Johnny threw me a surprise dinner party at home with a few of our closest friends and every single detail was perfect. Candles, flowers, amazing food/cake, balloons and a full-blown surprise – thankful is an understatement.
For holiday decor, we generally stick with a fairly neutral palette – white lights, natural greens, wood accents. We actually haven’t even hung any ornaments on our Christmas tree the last two years but I might get some petty pieces this year. Here are some items that are catching my eye.
On the note of holiday décor, I’m not quite feeling ready to set up Christmas in our home just yet but I AM ready to inject some more cozy into our space and I’m starting to scroll and seek inspo for the changing season (will share some at the bottom of this post). The thicker blankets are all coming out, I’ve ordered some new candles, and I’m swapping out some pillow covers for richer toned textiles. I’ve also been eyeing some new little pieces to style our shelves and coffee tables (did a whole post recently on coffee table styling).
